Jena graduated from Temple University with a BS in economics. She co-created UNCUT PRODUCTIONS in 2003 with Mark A. Dahl and Benjamin Kanes. In 2005 She created SWEETBREADSTUDIOS with Sharon Roggio, Dawn M. Smith and Jonathan Hafer. Since inception she has written, produced and directed a veritable menagerie of strange works while operating within the delightfully restrictive confines of a bizarre corporate world.
Outside of Uncut and Sweetbreads she has assisted many local talents such as David Von Roehm, MediaGiants, Nehst Studios and Larry Meistrich, MBN Studios, the students of ChARTer Tech Highschool for the Performing arts, TLA, Fringe, Peek-a-Boo Revue, Norm Macera, Matthew Russell, Saint Sinner Entertainment, Ningun, Mark Kohanowitz, Main Street Productions, Willie Nelson’s Parkinsons Foundation and others…
Jena is a workaholic who is kept afloat by her canine crew, Latke and Miss Pam, whose combined intelligence outweigh her own; her personal manager, Dawn M. Smith, the UNCUT rock star / SBS adult; her best friend Ed Hose, aka Elena Decker Hose whose auditory tolerance is insurmountable; her Jewish twin, Beth Wexler, whose editing companionship keeps the crazy at bay; her corporate sponsor, Melissa “Bridgette” Stratts, for grabbing her by the collar and making her a professional; her mother, Aline Serbu for getting her where she is against her will; her drunken partner Jeff “Brown” Cuellar for his charm and integrity; her faithful actor, Miss Brea Bee, whose talents and presence make everything look and feel infinitely better than they would in her absence; her strange cameraman, Scotty Yelity, for his undeniable willingness combined with a quarry of pure talent and extreme lovability; Mark A. Dahl for the continuous maelstrom of creativity that occurs between us, her supporter, Donuts, for his much favored attention and the Army of people who never stop amazing her with their talents and energy.
